BMS Support Engineer

 

A major Building Management Systems (BMS) specialist is looking to appoint an experienced BMS Support Engineer to join their North Region team, with the ideal location being South Yorkshire.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-recognised building controls organisation that genuinely prioritises employee wellbeing, collaboration, and long‑term career development. Reporting to the Regional Operations Manager, you’ll play a key role in delivering high‑quality service support across a varied customer base.

 

What you’ll be doing

As a BMS Support Engineer, you’ll be responsible for the service, maintenance, and minor remedial works on Building Management Systems across customer sites. You’ll work to agreed SLAs, ensuring system reliability, performance, and customer satisfaction.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Planned preventative maintenance and diagnostics on BMS systems
  • Responding to reactive service and breakdown calls
  • Carrying out small repairs and remedial works
  • Routine inspections to ensure system performance and reliability
  • Accurately documenting service activity, repairs, and customer interactions
  • Participating in an on‑call rota for emergency and breakdown cover

What experience we are looking for

You’ll be an experienced BMS engineer with a strong background in building controls and the confidence to work independently across a regional patch.

Key requirements:

  • Experience with Trend / IQVision systems
  • Exposure to Siemens, Tridium Niagara, or Schneider EcoStruxure is advantageous (training available)
  • Strong understanding of mechanical plant and HVAC control
  • Proven diagnostic and fault‑finding skills
  • Confident communicator, able to explain technical issues to non‑technical clients
  • PC literate and well organised
  • Full UK driving licence (essential)
