A major Building Energy Management Systems (BEMS) specialist is expanding their Data Centre support division and is looking to appoint an experienced BEMS Support Engineer.

This is a site‑based role supporting critical data centre environments across Slough, West Drayton, and Hayes, offering long‑term stability, strong earning potential, and the chance to work within one of the UK’s most established building controls organisations.

 

What you’ll be doing

As a BEMS Support Engineer, you’ll be responsible for the service, maintenance, and technical support of BEMS systems within live, business‑critical data centre environments. You’ll work to strict SLAs and KPIs, ensuring system reliability, uptime, and performance.

  • Planned preventative maintenance and diagnostics on BEMS systems
  • Producing clear and timely reports following PPM visits
  • Maintaining schedules and trackers for maintenance visibility
  • Carrying out small repairs and remedial works
  • Routine inspection of BMS equipment to ensure reliability and performance
  • Responding to reactive service and system failure calls
  • Accurate documentation of service activity and client interactions
  • Participating in an on‑call rota for emergency and breakdown cover

What experience we are looking for

You’ll be a technically strong service engineer with experience in building controls, ideally with exposure to critical environments such as data centres.

Key requirements:

  • Experience with Schneider EcoStruxure
  • Exposure to Tridium Niagara, Trend / IQVision, or ALC (training available)
  • Background in the building controls / BMS / BEMS industry
  • Understanding of mechanical plant and HVAC systems
  • Strong diagnostic and fault‑finding capability
  • Confident communicator with both technical and non‑technical stakeholders
  • Comfortable working independently and within a team
  • Full UK driving licence
  • CSCS skill card (or equivalent)
  • PC literate
